Scope Optometry COVID Protocols & Practices
We understand you may have concerns about visiting the optometrist during these uncertain times. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive vision care while doing as much as we can to mitigate the risk of infection and exposure at our office. The health and safety of our patients and staff are our top priority at all times. Our office follows guidelines as issued by the Center for Disease Control, American Optometric Association, and local, county, and state authorities. We monitor updates to make sure we are complying with current and up-to-date guidance.
IF YOU FEEL ILL, PLEASE STAY HOME
If you feel ill or have been exposed to someone who is ill, please stay home. We are happy to reschedule and accommodate as needed.
COVID-SYMPTOM SCREENING & TEMPERATURE CHECKS FOR ALL TEAM MEMBERS DAILY
Daily temperature and symptom checks are conducted for all team members immediately upon entering the office.
HEPA-FILTER AIR PURIFIERS
We have HEPA-filter air purifiers in the office and exam room to help keep recycled air clean.
HEIGHTENED DISINFECTION PROTOCOLS
We disinfect high-touch areas frequently, such as counters, doorknobs, door handles, including sanitizing frames and sunglasses after handling. We disinfect our exam room and equipment between patients.
FREQUENT HANDWASHING & HAND SANITIZER READILY AVAILABLE
Our team members wash their hands frequently and thoroughly, upon arrival and between patients and customers. Hand sanitizer is also readily available throughout the office.
We practice social distancing and do not physically contact patients and customers outside of necessity, including handshakes. Our team also maintains social distancing.
OUR TEAM IS AVAILABLE TO GO OUTSIDE & ANSWER QUESTIONS FOR THOSE WHO FEEL AT RISK
If you feel at risk or have concerns before entering our office, our team is available to meet outside to discuss any concerns you may have. We want our visitors to feel comfortable and safe at Scope.
WE CAN ACCOMMODATE FOR OLDER OR AT RISK PATIENTS
If you are older or at risk (for example, 60 years and older, patients with comorbidities or pre-existing conditions with decreased immunity), please call ahead if you would like to schedule a specific block of time in consideration of health and safety.
